OPAL establishes a forum where the practice of fairness and consistency of treatment of employees continues to be the standard for member companies, and will from time to time recommend guidelines on terms and conditions of employment. OPAL members can be expected to abide by the following recommendations in this respect: Common terms and conditions of employment: Working hours Leave Entitlement Probationary Periods End of service benefits Transfer of business and termination of contracts. Insurance and workmen's compensation Recruitment fees and agency commissions. OPAL members agree to utilise employees in the category of labour for which labour clearance was obtained.
