Flight Time Means: 1) Pilot time that commences when an aircraft moves under its own power for the purpose of flight and ends when the aircraft comes to rest after landing, or: 2) Glider stuff… Hobbs Time vs. Tach Time

(4) Student Pilot Sole occupant with a solo endorsement and undergoing training (1) Private Pilot Sole manipulator of the controls for which he is rated Sole occupant More than one pilot needed under Type Certificate Performs the duties of PIC under supervision

6 Instrument Time – 61.51 (g) © 2015 Coast Flight Training. All Rights Reserved. A person may log instrument time only for that flight time when the person operates the aircraft solely by reference to the instruments under actual or simulated conditions. Actual Simulated If not with an instructor: The name of the Safety Pilot Can use simulator time if Authorized Instructor is present and signs.

A person may log training time when that person receives training from an authorized instructor in an aircraft, flight simulator, or flight training device. The training time must be logged in a logbook and must: Be endorsed legibly by instructor Include a description of the training given and the length of the training Signature of the instructor, certificate number and date of expiration

15 Where to Keep Your Logbook / Medical © 2015 Coast Flight Training. All Rights Reserved. Prior to Private Pilot: Keep in Flight Bag Medical to stay with Logbook After Private Pilot: Cut out medical from student pilot certificate Place medical in wallet behind Pilot Certificate Keep logbook at home unless training Do NOT carry logbook with you unless you are at a training event
