Agency-Initiated Changes at Proposal Level 3 Principal Evaluation Data Definitions Stakeholder Feedback Conflicting Code Provisions Changes: “Observer" to “Evaluator" Align“ evaluation” to TEACHNJ definition Move “concurrent validity” and “construct validity” to single location Use term “district board of education” Rationale: Ensure language consistency and alignment with TEACHNJ Changes: Clarify use of feedback to align with individual, school, or district performance goals for principal evaluation Add Supervisor as member of District Evaluation Advisory Committee Rationale: Provide clarity for principal practice evaluation instrument review Changes: Require district boards of education to collect principal performance data from evaluation instruments and store data in usable format Rationale: Provide parity with teacher evaluation policies Changes: Remove language from incorrect chapter to ensure residency requirement for principals is not in conflict with chapter 9 Rationale: Avoid previous conflict due to incorrect placement
