Background Started with selling movies in September 2006. Original cost was 9.99 – 14.99 (few dollars less than DVD) Started only offering 75 titles, now claims over 1000 Offers playback on Mac, PC, iPod, and iPhones.

What’s Available? Renting rather than buying ( 2.99 – 3.99) HD DVD is also available (3.99 – 4.99) Many changes in the coming weeks (more movies, and download rate) itunes 7.6 7.6

Drawbacks Download time (30 min) Current selection limited Quality, 640 x 480 pixilation -Introducing the HD DVD option as soon Apple TV is launched. 30 days to keep the rental, only 24 hrs. once you start the movie.

What do we think? Strange prompts that say the movie status has changed. Transferring to iPod and iPhone are good ideas. Not for everyone, targeted for the person that wants a quick and easy way to get a movie.
