2 Germany invaded Poland on September 1,1939. They made an attempt to blame Poland for striking first.(lie). Poland didn’t surrender, and there allies came through! Great Britian and France declared war on Germany on September 3 rd of the same year. Poland’s defence had 12 cavalry units which, unfortuantly, was no match for the new form of War power Germany was bringing to the table. Germanys defence included 6 armoured panzer Divisions, the Luftwaffa (airforce), and mobile artillary. Before hand, Germany made a pact with Russia to take Poland together. When Germany attacked, Russia came in from the other side, Essentially “stabbing Poland in the back.”. September 27 th Warsaw surrendered, by October Poland fell and was free to divide up among the two nations.

3 In Germany’s view, Poland NEEDED to be taken. But how did Poland feel? Not only were they But how did Poland feel? Not only were they not involved in the war, But there only allies barely helped them!They were hit on both sides by military’s far more Advanced and superior than theirs. Through the years Poland has been fading in and Out of existance countless times, and again in world war 2 they are sanctioned. and again in world war 2 they are sanctioned.
