Vocation: A lawyer, Vice President and President Background: a. Education- Graduated from Harvard College and Columbia University. He also studied in Germany for a year. b. Religion- Dutch Reformed c. Family- As a child Theodore was heavily influenced by father. He married two women in his lifetime due to the death of his first wife, Alice. Theodore had six children. Defining moment: During the time of Roosevelt’s presidency when he demanded the “Square Deal” that would deal with his biggest concerns: control corporations, consumer protection, and conservation. This defined his presidency and the basis on which he would run the country. Contribution: Stood up against corruption and led the country during its time of reform.
