passed over the ford (Gen 32:22-24) And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok. 6 but is passed from death unto life (Joh 5:24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

passed from death unto life (1Jn 3:14) We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Jabbok left alone (Gen 32:22-24) And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok. And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had. And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

wrestled a man (Gen 32:24) And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

draw him (Joh 6:44) No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Felix trembled (Act 24:24-25) And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

prevailed not against himhe touched the hollow of his thigh the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint (Gen 32:25) And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

I will not let thee goexcept thou bless me (Gen 32:26) And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

(Rom 10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

(Act 16:30) And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? (Act 16:31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

What is thy name? And he said, Jacob but Israel: for as a prince (Gen 32:27-28) And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel he halted upon his thigh (Gen 32:29-32) And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.

should walk in newness of life (Rom 6:4) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

(Php 3:17) Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

(Gal 5:16) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
