2. The bansuri has 6 or 7 holes
The bansuri has 6 or 7 holes. It is an Indian flute that was originated from Baans (bamboo) and Sur (musical note).It is in the woodwind family, and it is a traditional instrument.

3. The Bansuri has 2 different colours, red and brown.

4. The parts of the Bansuri are:
Dandi- the body of the bansuri
 Mukha Radhra- the blowing hole
 Swar Radhra- the finger holes
 Gargha Radhra- the opening
 Rassi-the body of the bansuri at the end

6. Jeff Whittier
One of the most famous player of the bansuri is Jeff Whittier. He began his studies of North Indian classical flute in 1971 at the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Rafael, California.
