10. 2-Join the sentences. Use the past perfect. 1-Reading out the example sentence. Carol learnt to speak three languages. She went to school. Before she went to school,Carol had learnt to speak three languages. 2-Telling the pupils to work in pairs to finish the task. 3-Going around them helping and checking.

11. So it is correct to say: After he had finished the meeting,he made a telephone call. Before he made a telephone call,he had finished the meeting.
