2. Student Behaviors & Expectations Be prompt  Be ready to learn when class begins.  Check the board for daily lesson. Be prepared  Have materials with you and know due dates.  Books and paper are to be out and book bags, purses or other non essentials are to be on the floor. Be a polite and positive participant  Speak in a normal tone of voice, and listen attentively. Be productive  Turn in work on time, and always do your best. Be a problem solver  Correct problems quickly and peacefully before they escalate.

3. Show Respect Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and practice strong moral values. Treat all members of the school community and all visitors with politeness and respect. Honor the ideas and opinions of others. Offer to help. Be responsible with property and belongings.

4. Responsibility for Coursework Bring notebook, textbook, and appropriate writing tools to class. Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time. All assignments are posted each day on the board and/or on Progress book.

5. Promote Lifelong Learning You can develop lifelong learning traits:  By showing curiosity about human nature and how the world works.  By seeking and valuing diversity.  By persisting in seeking out new solutions.  By using your unique talents and intelligence to promote positive change.  By learning and applying technology tools to solve problems.

6. Mr. Bodi’s Classroom Policies Abide by all rules set forth by the PCHS Student Handbook Turn off cell phones and keep in bags or purses. If seen or heard, they will be confiscated and given to Mr. Steyer. Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom. Please be in the room when the bell rings. A tardy will be given to anyone outside of the room without an excuse.  3 TARDIES =DETENTION via Attendance Office  4+ TARDIES =FRIDAY SUSPENSION via Attendance Office All ASSIGNMENTS ARE TO BE TURNED IN ONTIME! LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Students with IEP modifications are permitted extended time within reason for late assignments. Absences  Ask a classmate first for assignments.  Each absence has a one-day grace period.  Students are responsible for making up quizzes and tests.

7. Grading Grades are based on the accumulation of points. Points are based on:  Accuracy of selected assignments  Completion of assignments (daily work)  Major projects, quizzes, tests, and journals. Grades are posted online and updated every week. Our Grading Scale 92-100% = A 83-91% = B 74-82% = C 65-73% = D Below 65% = F Grades are calculated on cumulative percentage.

8. My Pledge to Students I will trust you until you give me reason to do otherwise. I will respect you and work with you to solve problems. I will promptly correct and offer feedback on your work. I will offer extra help and alternative assessments should you require them.
