7. HELCOM biodiversity data portal The biodiversity data presented in the portal originates from diverse sources and is compiled by HELCOM for assessment purposes. Data origin & other relevant information is described in the associated metadata. No common data base or agreed format so far. However, the data is available in shapefile format and has certain common data fields. All data is available through INSPIRE compliant OGC WMS interface and can be viewed in other map services.
