An example of a choropleth map You will be using the data in the table to create a choropleth map that shows total spending by tourists by region per capita (US$). South East Asia11 Africa34 Eastern Europe61 South America75 Northern / central Asia 97 Middle East101 North America189 Japan238 Oceania610 West Europe667 1.Categorise the data into 4 or five groups (eg <US$50, US$50 – US$199, US$200 – US$399 etc) 2.Choose one colour and colour all regions apart from the lowest group as lightly as possible. 3.Using the same pencil apply slightly more pressure to all regions aside from the bottom two groups. 4.Continue this process until you apply the heaviest pressure to the highest group

The six countries which got the original iPhone Countries where the iPhone is now available South East Asia11 Africa34 Eastern Europe61 South America75 Northern / central Asia 97 Middle East101 North America189 Japan238 Oceania610 West Europe667
