Pr 17:17 - A friend loves at all times, and a - brother is born for adversity.
Pr 18:24 - A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
NKJ A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
27:9 - Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one’s friend springs from his earnest counsel.
Amplified - the sweetness of a friend’s counsel that comes from the heart.
11:14 - For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure.

9. Close Friendships
Prov 27:17 - As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
12:26 - A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
13:20 - He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
22:5 - In the paths of the wicked lie thorns and snares, but he who guards his soul stays far from them.
1 Cor 15:33 - Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."

10. Rom 12:2 - Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
27:6 – Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.
13:14 - The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.
15:31 - He who listens to a life-giving Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.
13:14 - The teaching rebuke will be at home among the wise.

11. 3:5 – 6 - Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. {Or will direct your paths.}
2 Cor 6:14 - Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
Amos 3:3 - Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?

1 Tim 1:15 - Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.
John 15:13 - Greater love has no-one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
