1. Selecting Employees job description job application interviewing skills- clean/well-groomed good communicator self-confident team player honest organized willing to learn

Interview Questions illegal questions- race, gender, religion, national origin, birthplace, age, disability, marital status open ended questions Interviewer is looking for answers and body language.

2. Employee Training orientation- front-of-the-house, back- of-the house, safety, security, sanitation, clerical duties, etc. positive reinforcement mentorship cross training- train for several different jobs

3. Employee Supervision Set salary. Explain benefits, policy, and procedures. Make sure employees follow laws and rules. Hold staff meetings. Resolve problems. Negotiate contracts with labor unions. Create a master work schedule.

Standards of Conduct Customer is always right. Never argue. Just keep smiling, smiling, smiling. Take appropriate breaks. Avoid arguing. Help each other out. NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL. Show up to work on time leave at the appropriate time.

Employee Evaluation identify strengths and weaknesses determine pay increases decide if an employee will continue to be employed, be promoted, or be fired
