1. Istinja

2. Istinja means cleaning the private parts after passing urine or stool. Istinja can be made with: 1. Water. 2. Toilet Paper. Water is the best. Where water is not available, use toilet paper.

3. Istinja-- The following things should be avoided: 1. Use of printed paper. 2. Standing and urinating. Avoid using a urinal at school or in a public place. 3. Facing the Qiblah or sitting with the back towards the Ka’bah. 4. Taking the rings, badges with ALLAH on it or verses of the Quran, into the toilet. 5. Use the right hand for cleaning the private parts. 6. Sitting in a place where one can be seen.

4. Entering the Toilet Before entering the toilet, recite the dua, Allahumma in-nee a'oothu bika minal khubu-thee wal khabaa ith. O Allaah, I take refuge with you from all evil and evil-doers.’ and then enter with the left foot. Use the left hand for washing the private parts. Leave as soon as you have relieved yourself. When coming out, leave with the right foot. When outside the toilet, recite the dua for leaving the toilet. Ghuf-raa naka (O Allaa, I seek your forgiveness.
