8 Communication strategies Roma policies are not yet widely accepted or seen as necessary by majority populations, by government officials or by professional groups. Sound communication strategies are needed to spread the anti- racist message and convince the majority, relevant institutions and professional groups (doctors, teachers, social workers, employers, etc.) of the usefulness of Roma programmes.
