6. Students can earn points from the following assignments:  Homework  Classwork  Quizzes  Tests  Projects

7.  Homework can be expected 2-3 times a week  Students should be reviewing concepts discussed in class 10-15 minutes per night  Late homework-half credit  More than 1 day late-no credit

8.  Social Studies classes in 6 th grade are not leveled.  We begin the year with the 5 Themes of Geography.  This is followed by the study of ancient civilizations incorporating the 5 Themes.  Curriculum is based on state standards.  The textbook is online and students will be given access information at a later date.

9.  Students will be rotating to different teachers on our team for mini lessons on ancient cultures.  More information about this rotation will be coming home in the near future.
