1. 8 th Graders

2. All 8 th graders will be required to take each of the following classes, either as Regular or Pre-AP: Language Arts Math Science Social Studies

3. All 8 th graders will choose two (2) electives and one (1) alternate from the following option: Family & Consumer Science Band (must also be taken in 7 th grade) Choir Business Tech (cannot choose, if taken in 7 th grade) AP-Art Introduction to Engineering (cannot choose, if taken in 7 th grade) P.E. Athletics (must have a completed physical by June 1, 2015 to enroll)

4. 8 th graders are enrolled at Houston, Highland, or Heizer Middle Schools based on the information in the computer system at their elementary schools. We ask all parents/guardians to verify and/or update address information with their students’ elementary schools to insure that they receive their schedules.

5. The students will be receiving a schedule by mail prior to the beginning of the 2015 school year in August.

6. If a student does NOT live in the school district they wish to attend, an out-of-zone form must be filled out and completed online, beginning April 1, 2013. This form is available on the Hobbs Schools website http://www.hobbsschools.net/ http://www.hobbsschools.net/

7. If a student receives a schedule from the wrong middle school, two (2) proofs of address must be provided to the office of the school from which the schedule was received.
