1 Megan Lopez, Elizabeth Spero, Ricardo Felix, and Vy’Sonne Anderson

2 In 1911, he was the first to discover that atoms have a small charged nucleus surrounded by largely empty space.

3 Theorized the existence of the neutrons and established a model of an atom in 1911. He discovered the atom is made up of a central charge known as the nucleus through the Gold foil experiment and that electrons orbited the nucleus in 1909. Found that the atom itself is 100,000 times the diameter of the nucleus.

4 He named the proton, the positivity charge particles after WWI in 1920. He established the “Disintegration Theory” which was the discovery of reactivity and identified it as an atomic.

5 He discovered that the atom is made from a central unit of energy with a lot of space around it. The protons are located in the nucleus while the electrons orbited the atom.

6 Ernest ford was born in August 30,1871 in Bright writer New Zealand and died in October 19, 1937, Cambridge, United Kingdom. At the age of 16, he entered Nelson Collegiate school and received a scholarship for the Canterbury College in the university of New Zealand. He is known as the “Father of Physics” He won various awards such as the Rumford Metal, The Copley Metal, the Bressa Prize and many more.
