2 Youth homelessness in Chicago: Of the 25,000 Illinois youth who are homeless 9,000 are in the Chicago area. Have little or no positive interaction with adults Go hungry at twice the rate of other children Have experienced abuse and neglect with the stress associated with the loss of their home safety and sense of security In Chicago alone on any given evening there are 6,200 people who do not Know where they are going to sleep

6 Interesting information: Information that I learned from reading about homelessness was that there are to many homeless children in the United States. Children should not have to deal with being homeless and trying to make it on their own.
