If you are planning a vacation during the school year and you are going to request missed work please send in a note at least a week in advance.

Recess Twenty minutes for lunch and twenty minutes for recess. Two recess monitors Our rule: 32 degrees and above and we will go out. Dress your child for the weather (We do go out in the cold and even when it is snowing). They need boots, hat, gloves and scarves on cold days.

Lunch Please do not send in loose change and bills for lunch money. Put it in a baggy or envelope and mark it with your child’s name, my name and first grade. That way there will be no mistakes on whose account it should be credited to. If you want you can write a check to “Avonworth Elementary Cafeteria”. We tell the students to not throw away untouched food. When your account runs out the cafeteria workers will send a note home for you. Breakfast $1.00, lunches $1.80 and milk 50 cents. Menus are sent monthly.
