Total number of languages: 26 Total EAL pupils: 115 which is 30% of our school population. Bengali speaking pupils continue to be our biggest bi lingual groups, accounting for 32% of all EAL pupils.

Opportunities to complete homework in home language.

Homework club aimed at Bengali pupils and pupils at risk of not completing homework for a range of reasons including lack of a computer at home. Age 7-9 21 attending, club over subscribed and a waiting list in operation Age 10-11 13 attending

Response to parent’s request in questionnaire Maps outside both Reception classes showing global family links/ greetings

Meeting for parents/carers on Being Bilingual Visiting speakers from the University Linguistics Department to underline the key messages about the benefits of bilingualism. 33 people attended

Two governors attended plus another Cambridgeshire County Leading Teacher.

Second International Tea planned for this Christmas.
