5 Examples: Create example sentences using the following interjections. Oops! Oh boy Gosh Wow Oops, I dropped it! Oh boy it’s hot in here. Gosh I’m tired. Wow! That truck is huge!

6 Vocabulary—Make sure you write down each word/definition Hysterical—is in a panic or very excited Crestfallen—is very disappointed and sad Incapacitated— is unable to work because of damage or injury.

7 Perishable— foods that are perishable go bad if they are not stored properly. Lamanted—if you lamented something, you expressed deep regret that it happened. Ricocheted— has hit and bounced off another object.

8 Ecstatic—you are extremely happy. Mirth—feeling of amusement that causes you to laugh out loud.

9 Focus Skill—Story Structure

10 Story Structure Characters—people, animals, things, etc., involved in the story. Setting—where the story takes place. Conflict—the central problem in the story. Plot Events— Resolution—the solution to the problem.
