SITUATION Advocating for the full legalization of medical marijuana in the state of Ohio Partnerships with The Ohio State University, OhioHealth, and The Arthritis Foundation o Legitimize the campaign Partnerships will help develop a following Largely conservative state -> we must showcase benefits of medical marijuana o Advocate for legalization of medical marijuana to influence the election

June 2015 Research team will gather facts about marijuana as a substance and statistical information regarding the use of marijuana and its benefits for patients with the following health issues: Arthritis (all forms), Cancer, and Glaucoma. Contacts will be sourced for Drew Carey and medical professionals from the large healthcare organizations such as OhioHealth, Cardinal, OSU’s The James Cancer Hospital and the Arthritis Foundation. The filming of the promotional videos featuring Drew Carey as the spokesperson will take place. Meetings with the major healthcare organizations will be scheduled for the second week in July. Prep for presentations to these organizations. July 2015 The PR team will meet with the major healthcare organizations and pitch the campaign for legalization of marijuana in the state of Ohio due to the benefits it will provide to their patients.

Set up meetings with state government officials to rally their support to legalize medical marijuana in Ohio. Start gathering patient testimonials to use in meetings with government officials. The Smell of Freedom 5k planning begins for the race in September. The PR team will meet with government officials with a spokesperson from each health organization there for additional support. August 2015 We begin our petition campaign at local events such as Gallery Hop Key speakers including a government official for the Arthritis Foundations summer event are contacted and scheduled for their speeches. Medical Conference is found and scheduled for attendance. September 2015 Campaign to write to congress begins on social media. Arthritis Foundation’s summer event and 5k.

Volunteers are attained at event for door to door campaigning in October. October 2015 Door to door campaigning begins. Medical Conference for Cancer Research Presentation. Petition signatures are sent to our state representatives in preparation for the vote in November. November 2015 Election Day Evaluation begins of the campaigns success rate. Data is collected and organized from attendees at events, social media outlets, media attention, passing of the bill.
