2. DEMOCRACY Did you know that one of the British Values allows you to vote?  16 year olds can register to vote and can actually vote from their 18th birthday  it is a fundamental part of the democratic process which is a fundamental right for British citizens and some others  voting is the way to make sure local authority and government policies address the needs of young people  this means that people in Britain vote for those who make the laws and decide how the country is run. 3.
