2. Purpose of the UN The purpose of the UN is to maintain international peace and security through: –Conflict resolution –Protecting human rights –Fostering stability by encouraging social, political and economic development –Providing humanitarian assistance

3. What I wanted to accomplish I built this site because I wanted to showcase how the UN is a critical component in International Relations –It provides a neutral forum that has the potential to solve a multitude of global issues, such as pandemics and global warming

4. Contents of my Site I created a website that provides the basic goals the UN I found and modified a Java Applet that explains the basic structure of the UN I created a spreadsheet in Excel that list all 192 member states and their contributions to the UN budget –In addition, I created a pie chart that shows each member states proportional contribution Finally, I searched for YouTube videos that show the work of the UN in action
