Adding/Modifying Users Security Manager Email Setup Do not Change Fields
4
At least one user must be designated as a Security Manager. There should be a limited number of Security Managers. 1
5
In order to use the new e-mailing capabilities, certain fields must be setup. You may need to work with your IT person and our Technical Support staff to ensure all settings are correct. 2
6
There are several check boxes and fields that should not be changed. Contact Support when adding new users if you have any questions. 3

You can flag certain employee records as secured and specify which users can access them. A user who does not have access will not see the record in a dropdown menu or on any reports that contain data for that record. 1
15
You may limit the jobs that a user has access to with Project Manager security. If enabled a user will only see job records and reports for jobs which they have been given access to. 2
16
There are special checkboxes that should only be changed with the guidance of a support representative. These mostly control access to new features or for displaying data. 3

Users – “Objects” Tab Module Access Menu Access Other Considerations
19
You may give a user access to selected modules by clicking on the item and enabling all. If you want to give selected access to a module, drill down to the next level before enabling. 1
20
You may limit the menus within a module that a user can access by enabling only those items. In some cases, you will be prompted to give access to an integrated menu to avoid any conflicts. 2

In addition to the Security settings, you may want to edit an additional security feature located in the P/R Control Files. This feature allows you to omit data posting to Jobs for secured employees. 3
