Mathematics Recovery (MR) is an international intervention programme which was developed in response to the problem of children's failure in early numeracy and primary mathematics. Implementations of MR currently in schools indicate that it has the potential to impact on the numeracy teaching of the whole school and not just individualised one-to-one instruction. What is Maths Recovery?

Recent research indicated 1. Whole class implementation decreased the number of pupils requiring more intensive support. 2. More able learners developed a higher level of mathematical strategies. How effective is Maths Recovery?
