What are the 5 Process Skills? Observation Communication Comparison Order Categorization Scientists use the 5 process skills to experiment and learn about the world around them. These are the five main skills that scientists use.

Use your senses in order to observe or to learn more about something. Some of the traits you might look for are size, shape, color, or texture.

Scientists communicate or share the information that is discovered. This information can be shared orally or in written form (like a journal, picture, or graph).
