2 Open Your ImagesOpen Your Images  In Photoshop open the two images that you would like to merge together.  One should be a silhouette portrait.  One should be an environment, landscape, or texture.

3 Remove BackgroundRemove Background  With your silhouette portrait open remove the background by selecting the subject and adding a layer mask. Use the quick selection or pen tool to select the subject. Add a layer mask.

4 Open other image and drag it into your silhouette file.

5 Hold the Command key and click on the silhouette layer mask. Then go to the other image and add a layer mask by clicking on the layer mask icon at the bottom of the layers palette.

6 With the top image selected change the blending mode to screen.

7 Options  At this point you can play with a few options.  Change the opacity of the top image.  Make the top image black and white.  Play with the contrast of the top layer.  Use masking to bring out certain areas of each image.  Use a grunge brush to roughen up the edges.
