Don Imus April 12, 2007- CBS has announced that Don Imus has been fired from his radio program. A week of uproar over the radio host’s derogatory comments about the Rutgers women’s basketball team followed. Because of Imus’ word choices about the Women’s basketball team, sponsors one by one pulled their ads form the Imus’ show.

Don Imus Jesse Jackson called the firing “a victory for public decency. No one should use the public airwaves to transmit racial or sexual degradation.” Losing Imus was a financial hit to CBS Radio. The program was worth about $15 million in annual revenue to CBS which owns Imus’ home radio station.

Don Imus April 1, 2012-Don Imus was back on air 8 months after he was fired from CBS Radio. About 5 years later Imus could not be researched for the comment and was still on air, on WACB in New York as well as 83 other stations. His show is also simulcast on Fox Business Network. May 28, 2015- Don Imus have announced that he his leaving the Fox Business. He will still be hosting his radio show, but he has said goodbye to the TV world for now.

Dan Rather In 2004, Dan Rather reported that President George W. Bush’s powerful father arranged to keep his son in the National Guard to prevent serving in Vietnam. The false report caused such commotion that the 24-year anchorman lost his job.

Dan Rather Before the broadcast was scheduled to air, CBS showed the memos to the White House for a response. Bush’s National Guard recognized them and fake but the networks contact ignored the statement and sent them on air anyway.

Brian Williams Brian Douglas Williams is an American journalist. He is best know for serving ten years as anchor and managing editor for NBC Nightly News, the evening news program of the NBC television network. Born- May 5, 1959 (age 56)

Brian Williams Brian Williams had been exaggerating an anecdote about coming under fire in a U.S. Army helicopter during the Iraq war in 2003. Williams was suspended from the news show for six months.

Brian Williams Williams opened up in the first interview after his suspension to say it has been a difficult period. NBC announced that Williams would not be returning as the anchor of Nightly News. He will be joining MSNBC where he was an anchor from 1996-2004. He now has a chance to earn back everyone's trust. Brian Williams says that he is very grateful for the opportunity he has been given.
