2. A Little Bit About Miss M. Lives in Hammond, Indiana Graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana ( Go Boilers!) Enjoys traveling, reading, my Ipod, working out, spending time with family and friends, Starbuck’s coffee, Italian food, and penguins. This is my 2 nd year teaching. My first year at Liberty.

5. We will be creating our own set of class rules together tomorrow morning. All rules will model off of “Treat others the way you would like to be treated”.

6. Procedures! Follow hand signs! – 1) Bathroom – 2) Out of Seat – 3) Question – 5) Quiet! Complete Morning procedures prior to the 8:55 bell. – Sharpen pencils, check daily schedule, put belongings away, turn in notes, and begin morning work.

8. Curriculum Guided Reading Writing Workshop and Grammar Sitton Spelling (20 words a week) Saxon Math (Text Book) Indiana History (Text Book) Science (Plants, Measurements, Earth Materials, Health)

9. HOMEWORK! Expect an average of one hour of homework a night Free day Fridays! (with exceptions) Daily Homework: Math Lesson and 30 Minutes of Independent Reading at Home ****CAN ALWAYS STUDY SPELLING WORDS!***

10. A little more on the H.W.! STI Home: Check your child’s grades and for missing assignments Assignments should always be in planner, check and sign! (They earn tickets!) Papers will all be sent in Friday Folder.

11. Study Trips Barker Mansion Mighty Acorns (Fall, Winter, Spring) Camp Tecumseh – April 20 th and 21 st – Box Top and Smencils fundraisers

12. DATES OF TESTING! NWEA – Starts in September – Will test again in winter and spring – Encourage your child to try their best and get good night’s rest! ISTEP – Begins March and April

If you don’t have login info it will be sent to you at a later date. ( I don’t have that information  ) LE Student Handbook- sign verification sheet and turn in before you leave please!

FYI Free and Reduced Lunch Forms available in office Medication: original container, labeled properly, and doctor form filled out (note:cough drops) Lunch- You must put in writing if you would like your child to have only one or no snacks at all. PTO will be in the front lobby signing up committee volunteers.
