Judah  Athaliah is dead  Joash is king  Jehoiada is the high priest  The temple is 150 years old  Athaliah had abused it during her idol worship  Joash want it repaired 2 Chronicles 24:7 For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken into the house of God, and had also presented all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD to the Baals.

15. Repairing the Temple  Joash commands the priest to collect taxes  The priest and Levites delayed  Joash saw no progress was made  He called them in again  A chest was placed in the temple to collect offerings

16. Repairing the Temple  Money from the chest was paid to the workers  The workers were ‘faithful’ (honest) with their work and pay  The work was done according to the original plans of the temple  After the work was completed, other money was used to make vessels
