What is truth? What publications do you trust to report the truth? Why? How can we make sure, as journalists, that we are reporting the truth? If there is no absolute truth, why should journalists’ first priority be to the truth? Is inaccuracy ever acceptable?

Why do some people think it is impossible to present the truth? At what point do we say a story is no longer true? Is literary journalism actually journalism? › Is it really true? What are some things that are mentioned in this chapter that journalist should NOT do? “In fiction, the writer’s voice matters; in reporting, the writers authority matters.” why?
