2  One’s ability to control what information one reveals about his or herself over the Internet.  To control who can access that information.  Internet privacy affects all those who owns a computer, no matter where or who he or she is.

3  Also known as data privacy, this is a specific realm of privacy that affects the collection and dispersal of data and technology, along with the legal and political issues surrounding them.  For example: Residence, Healthcare records, ethnicity, biological traits, financial transactions, criminal justice proceedings, sexual orientation, religion, and social security numbers.

4  Utilizing fields such as information security and data security, various types of hardware, software and human resources have enabled us to eradicate these problems.  However, beware of programs that are invading your privacy such as: phishing, spyware, web bugs, and malicious proxy server.

5  There are types of people who clearly do not care about privacy, a good example being vehement facebook users:

6  Unfortunately for her and millions of other open facebook users, friends, parents, bosses, professors, and co-workers will see this and question your status as a good daughter, student, and worker.  NOT a good  impression 

7  On a sadder and more serious note, there are those who as mere individuals are unknowingly, and unwillingly affected by internet:

Ultimately, the best way to protect yourself and others is to KNOW what you put out there, whether it be on social networking websites or private e-mail. BE AWARE of the consequences and take the necessary steps to protect your computer and your reputation.
