Warm Up! What does the term ethical mean to you? Can you think of an ethical dilemma? ACT Word: Divergent (adj.) Drawing apart from a common point. Differing from another.

Goal! Evaluate ethical standards of research. Eq: How do sociologist study society?

Why are these considered Ethical Dilemmas? A conflict between two moral beliefs, typically follow your heart or head/ “right thing” These situations happen in sociological studies as well. In order to prevent that from happening there is a code of ethics.
