Homophones Homophones are words that sound alike but they have different meanings and different spellings. Pair and Pear

Homographs Homographs are words that may or may not sound alike but have the same spelling but a different meaning. Bow and BowBow

What's the point? Why do you think it’s important to use homophones correctly in your writing?

Write it up! 1. 3 learners sit in front of the board with a marker 2. Your teacher is going to sound out a homophone 3. Each learner must run up to the board and write down a pair of homophones 4. The learner who is the slowest stays in their chair and is replaced by another learner Mrs L Hendy
