3 Homophones Homophones are words that sound alike but they have different meanings and different spellings. Pair and Pear

4 Homographs Homographs are words that may or may not sound alike but have the same spelling but a different meaning. Bow and BowBow

5 What's the point? Why do you think it’s important to use homophones correctly in your writing?

8 Write it up! 1. 3 learners sit in front of the board with a marker 2. Your teacher is going to sound out a homophone 3. Each learner must run up to the board and write down a pair of homophones 4. The learner who is the slowest stays in their chair and is replaced by another learner Mrs L Hendy
