CONFIDENTIAL MS Office Microsoft Office is a collection of computer programs made by Microsoft. Microsoft Office is an office suite of desktop applications, servers and services for Microsoft's Windows and Apple's OS X operating systems. Initially a marketing term for a bundled set of applications, the first version of Office contained Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Over the years, Office applications have grown substantially closer with shared features such as a common spell checker, OLE data integration and Visual Basic for Applications scripting language. Microsoft also positions Office as a development platform for line-of-business software under the Office Business Applications brand. There are different versions of the software for home users and for business users.

Office 2007 Office 2010 Office 2013 The difference between these versions are addition of few components to the latest version. Below are the commonly used components in MS office. Word : Microsoft Word is a word processing software package use to type letters, reports and other documents. 1. Communicate more effectively with SmartArt diagrams and new charting tools. 2. Quickly assemble documents using Building Blocks. 3. Images can be 'drag-and-dropped' into the application, inserted manually, or imported from the word-art galleries. 4. Compatible with a large number of standard document formats. 5. Lists can be easily created and formatted.

Easy to enter and format data. Ability to create graphical or visual representations of your data Can work quickly in analyzing large amounts of data Easy to integrate Excel with other business applications Can be used for what if analysis and decision making. Power Point : Power Point (PPT) is a presentation software that enables a user to create powerful presentations. 1. Create high-quality presentations with stunning graphics. 2. Work on multiple presentations and multiple monitors. 3. Organize and print your slides more effectively. 4. Have capability of breaking away from linear presentation of materials to non-linear organization models. 5. Captivate the audience with new transitions and improved animations.

CONFIDENTIAL Components of MS Office Outlook : Microsoft Outlook is a Personal information manager from Microsoft available as a part of the Microsoft Office suite. Although often used mainly as an Email application, it also includes a calendar, task manager, contact manager, note taking & a journal. 1. Manage Large Volumes of Email with Ease 2. CONFIDENTIAL Components of MS Office OneDrive : OneDrive is a cloud storage, file hosting service that allows users to sync files and later access them from a web browser or mobile device. Automatically save a backup copy of your files. Access your files from anywhere. Easily switch between different devices. Free access to Office Online. OneDrive makes it really easy to share documents, pictures and videos with others. Microsoft Publisher : Microsoft Publisher is a program that lets people make layouts for newsletters and presentations to print. Microsoft InfoPath : Microsoft InfoPath is a program for designing, distributing, filling and submitting electronic forms containing structured data which is based on XML. Microsoft Visio : Microsoft Visio is a shaping program not included in Microsoft Office Suites but can be bought in volume editions. Originally included in Microsoft Office. Microsoft FrontPage : Microsoft FrontPage is a HTML WYSIWYG program included in the Office 2003 Suite. It has been replaced by Microsoft Expression Web in the Expression Series.

CONFIDENTIAL Components of MS Office Microsoft Lync (Skype for Business) : Skype for Business, formerly known as Microsoft Lync Server, is a unified communications (UC) platform that integrates common channels of business communication including instant messaging (IM), VoIP (voice over IP), file transfer, Web conferencing, voice mail and email. Microsoft Project : Microsoft Office Project, also referred to as Microsoft Project, is a suite of tools for more efficient project and portfolio management. Project is used in a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, government, retail, financial services and health care.

CONFIDENTIAL Open the outlook and click on File then Options Click on Advanced in Outlook Options Go to Send and Receive option and click on Send/Receive Click on NEW to create a new Send/Receive Group name. Then type the new group name, and then click OK Select the old account then uncheck all boxes and click on close Before change After change Uncheck the Cashed exchange mode and restart the outlook Outlook issue - Mailbox are not getting loaded & Mailbox is in offline state

CONFIDENTIAL Mailbox is in disconnected state Click on Start menu and type Mail Click on show Profiles Click on Add Type a name of the profile Enter the user email address or the user ID@carlsberggroup.comID@carlsberggroup.com Now outlook will establish the network connection and will search for the server settings Outlook will prompt for the user name and password Note: Enter the user's email id as example: UserID@carlsberggroup.com and the AD password You will see the above screen once the profile is configured successfully. Click on finish and then choose the new profile name on the mail window and then click on apply and OK. Once the profile is loaded you will see the message connected to Microsoft Exchange on the right corner

CONFIDENTIAL Adding a Secondary Mailbox Open Outlook and Click on File Under the Info header, click on the Account Settings button and then on the Account Settings tab Select your default account and click Change, the Change Account dialog box will appear as above Click on More Settings and Select the Advanced tab and then click on Add Enter the name of the additional mailbox into the Add mailbox field and click on OK. The additional mailbox has now been added. Click Next, Finish, and Close buttons

CONFIDENTIAL Unable to open a Personal Folder (PST) in Outlook Error Message : Unable to open a Personal Folder in Outlook " Cannot Display the folder" Symptoms : User has placed the PST in network drive or the PST is corrupted and needs repair Resolution : Copy the PST from network drive to the Local PC (If stored in Network drive) Click the Start - > RUN or search dialog box - > Type C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\scanpst.exe Browse to the location of user Outlook PST Files. Start the scanning process once we select the corrupted PST files. After the scanning completed, we will get a popup window to start the repairing process. To finish the process, Click Repair and Outlook will go through and fix all of the errors found in user PST file. Once the repair is complete, Finally we need to map the outlook PST file into user mailbox after the repairing process
