3. Fiber Outages Friday, Jan 7th, at 5:17 PM – We lost our fiber that provides access to Exton and Harrisburg and the Internet via Reliance Globalcom. The Internet was still up via the NetCarrier (SNIP) ISP connection. This outage also has WINS customers Springfield, Rosetree and Upper Darby down also. Saturday Jan 8 th, at 1:35 AM - The fiber was restored and everything was back up. Wednesday, Jan 26 th, at 8:36 PM – We lost connectivity to Delaware, Exton, Harrisburg and the Reliance Globalcom Internet provider. The SNIP connection was still up so we had not lost all Internet access. This outage also has WINS customers Rosetree and Penn Delco down also. Thursday, Jan 27 th, at 7:04 PM - Everything is back in service!

4. Widener Spring Break Every year, while the students are away on Spring Break, we perform upgrades and changes that have risk that we avoid during the normal school year. We will be doing work that does not interfere with your school activities. But want you to be aware… Spring Break starts on Saturday, Feb 26 th. 5. New ISP - Comcast SNIP connection currently 100 Mb. SNIP went bankrupt and was purchased by NetCarrier. Widener contract ending July 1, 2011. Dave Cava, formerly SNIP sales rep, now with Comcast. Comcast proposal same price for 400 Mb. Disaster Recovery Plan: Terminating circuit in Kirkbride building. Diverse route, not using Sunesys fiber. Lawyers are working out contract as we speak (still)….
