2 farmers Most Vikings were peaceful farmers. They lived in small communities Growing all their own foods. In the right climate farmers grew vegetables such as:cabbiges,leeks,turnips,onions, And much more!

3 Cooking kettle The Vikings cooked there food by boiling They would make food in a kettle not the type we use but a large cauldron or a pot made of iron or soap stone.it would be hanged on the wall and lowered in the fire for cooking This is how it would look if its not hanged above the fire.

4 hunting The Vikings hunted wild animals and birds especially in winter time. A Viking hunter will kill any animal he comes a cross. Vikings used brave doges to help them hunt. Some Vikings argued over however get to take the animal.

5 What did the Vikings eat? Meat: Beef Mutton Lamb Horse Pork Deer Elk Reindeers Bears squirrel Poultry: Chicken Gees Duck Eggs Plover Dairy: Goat milk Cow milk Butter Butter milk Whey Curds cheese Grains: Barley Rye Oats Rice Millet Buckwheat Hops Flat bread porridge Fruit: Plums Apples Blackberries Figs grapes Nuts: Walnuts Almonds chestnuts

6 What did the Vikings drink? Vikings mostly drank water and beer. Disturbingly, they drank vodka which they made from their enemies skull. The Vikings drank ale that was fairly weak, sweetish, cloudy and often made without hops. Even children drank ale, because the water in the wells and streams was not safe to drink. Did you know? Dr salt, was a drink that tasted like Fanta. Horribly, the drink was made out of cats urine! This is what Vikings used to drink in.
