4.  The International Labor Organization estimates worldwide that there are 246 million exploited children aged between 5 and 17.  An estimated 1.2 million children are trafficked each year.  25 percent of all children who are trafficked around the world are U.S. citizens.

5.  50 percent of trafficking victims are adults.  80 percent of the victims are female.  Adult are also more likely to fall victim to bonded labor which is a means of repayment for a loan or service.
