Published as an AISA Occasional Paper 2/2006, entitled ‘Political Reforms in the Arab World: An Analysis of the Egyptians Political Scene’ (published) Fieldwork manuscripts submitted for publication: DRC Presidential Elections

13 Governance New Council appointed for a three-year period [01 January to 31 December 2009] New Council Committees established: o Executive Committee o Audit Committee [also to provide governance oversight of the Council] o Research Committee [ to include the responsibility in terms of section 10(6) of the AISA Act] o HR and Finance Committee The Council to meet at least on a quarterly basis with Committees meeting more frequently until normality is restored.

29 Outreach and International Liaison Develop a vigorous outreach and marketing strategy Establish mutually beneficial relationships with science councils of the same ilk and tertiary institutions Promote consciousness of Africa at grassroots level Build strong and sustainable relationships with all Government departments including parastatals that are active on the African Continent Promote AISA Research publications to all relevant stakeholders Promote AISA as a platform for discourse on African affairs
