Status of PEF Recently Restructured Board of Directors to include state officials, representatives from school divisions’ governance and leadership, business community leaders, UVA educators, public education advocates and individuals representing interests of school divisions. Committees to be established for CCS and ACPS. Focus is to offer foundation support to each division individually and to offer an innovative joint fund

Established Protocol Charlottesville will have a separate committee— Charlottesville Fund Committee (CFC). The CFC will follow Articles and By-Laws established by PEF.* The CFC will decide how to distribute its funds. Donors may restrict and designate money for projects. Governance of the CFC will follow guidelines for all non-profit organizations. CFC Chair will be a voting member of PEF.

Leadership of PEF and CFC PEF PEF will hire an Executive Director who will promote joint ventures between the City and the County. The Executive Director may promote the work of CFC. CFC Charlottesville City School Board may consider employing a.5 position for development for CFC.* Once the Committee is established, the Committee will select a Chair.

Considerations for CCS School Board Leadership of CFC .5 Development Position? Current staff or new position? Ex-officio member of CFC or voting member? Membership of CFC Number and Types of Members? Business/Community/School Board? (Research of other Foundations—14-16 members with School Board representative, Superintendent other division staff)
