2. The road The meaning of the tag line is that something has happened in the world but we don’t know what is it. This helps the viewer to understand that it is a dystopian film and what it might be about. The USP is the mystery of the tagline because it dose not give you any information and leaves questions in peoples minds therefor making the viewer want to see the film. tagline The image on the poster conveys a sense of fear and worry from the dads point of view. The way the dad is holding the son back also conveys a sense of protection and also unknowing from the child's point of view because he dose not know the dangers in this dystopian world. The way the father and son are positioned right in the middle of the poster says that they will be at the heart of the film and it will all be about how they survive in the new world. image The colours on the poster are very bleak and the only colour that stands out is the yellow in the background which represents fire and destruction giving the viewer an insight into what is going on in the dystopian world. The black conveys a sense of unknowing and evil that surrounds the father and sound which foreshadows what may happen in the film. colour The fonts used are simple and coloured white so not to distract the viewer from the father and son. And the use of the white also helps make the colours in the background stand out even more therefor having a bigger effect on the viewer. The way the eyes are positioned over him mean that the infected are looking for him/ watching him. 4. I am legend The information giving to the viewer from this poster is that he was the last man on earth but now something is coming to get him. We also learn that will Smith is the main character in this dystopian film. The bleak yellow and brown of the sky conveys a sense of sickness and death. The yellow also conveys fire and destruction that might be happing in the background behind him. The image of the poster coveys destruction by the image of the broken bridge and the cracked floor but this is contrasted by will smith waking right through the middle with his dog conveying a sense of willpower and being brave against danger. Also the way the sun is rising behind him shows that he is the new hope for survival. The meaning of the tagline is that the last man on earth is not alone meaning some kind of monster or infected mutation of a human is coming to get him.
