Title I are federal funds dedicated to schools that have a poverty rate at 65% or greater. Cloverdale is at 95% for free and reduced lunches. Title I funds are used to improve the academic achievement of the disadvantaged. Title I monies are allocated based on each school’s needs assessments. Cloverdale Elementary is a Schoolwide Title I Program that provides for all students.

Cloverdale Elementary School’s Title I funds are used to: hire a full time computer assistant hire a full-time nurse Hire a part-time Parent Involvement Specialist purchase technology for the school hire tutorial assistants purchase student classroom materials purchase other instructional supplies

Cloverdale Elementary School’s Title I funds are used to: provide conduct folders provide printing services for the school purchase student classroom materials purchase other instructional supplies purchase new technology and software programs upgrade technology for computer lab, classrooms, and Media Center

Title I funds have dedicated funds for improving parental involvement. Parents- Right –To-Know – All of the teachers at Cloverdale are deemed Highly Qualified. Cloverdale Elementary Schools will conduct parent workshops to help interpret student’s test scores. Title I requires that parents have the opportunities to participate in the education of their children. Cloverdale Elementary School Parent Involvement Plan is sent home with each child and will be located on the website.

Cloverdale Elementary School is required to have each teacher, parent, and student sign a Parent-Student-School Compact form. This is done at the beginning of the year. The Parent-Student-School Compact form states the responsibilities of each person on the form and is signed showing that each agrees to uphold their responsibilities.

Cloverdale Service Incentives Program Parents: This year, Cloverdale Elementary School is excited to implement our new Cloverdale (Parent) Service Incentives Program. This program is designed to make volunteering easier for parents, guardians, and grandparents, while also making it fun for the students. Each time you volunteer, you earn points. These points accumulate throughout the year, and once you reach certain point levels, or milestones, you and your student are recognized and rewarded. We have included a list of volunteer activities, as well as their point values. Milestone Cheetah Levels: Bronze Spot—Once you have accumulated 15 points, your student will receive recognition at the next Honor Roll Assembly, including a pin. Silver Spot—Once you have accumulated 30 points, your student will receive recognition at the next Honor Roll Assembly, including a pin, and the student gets an ice cream sundae at lunch. Gold Spot— Once you have accumulated 45 points, your student will receive recognition at the next Honor Roll Assembly, including a pin, the student gets an ice cream sundae at lunch, Volunteer gets his or her picture taken with the student to be displayed in the lobby, and the Volunteer receives a $5 gift card. Platinum Spot—Once you have accumulated 60 points, your student will receive recognition at the next Honor Roll Assembly, including a medal, the student gets an ice cream sundae at lunch, Volunteer gets his or her picture taken with the student to be displayed in the lobby, Volunteer receives 2 tickets to a community event [bowling, movies, etc.] All volunteers who reach the Bronze Level will be invited to a Principal’s Luncheon at the end of the school year.
