4. Labs, old textbooks Lab is mandatory only for College of Science. It is not mandatory for Engineering Scott Payson will be here Friday to discuss labs No lab in the first week Old textbooks (6th edition) are cheap and they are fine, but you will need to match chapters and homework. Typically, attending students have no problems with old textbooks. Non attending students have lots of problems with them. I only provide a forum on Webassign for those who have older books.

Homework solving You will find that to solve web problems you have to find an ALGORITHM (that is, a formula which includes input values on the right and the output value(s) on the left) That is the way science and engineering work - your solution usually goes in a computer program, or is otherwise used multiple times.
