What is Wiki  The Basic Meaning  A Web Site  Allows Users to Create and Edit Various web pages by using a browser  Typically Powered by Wiki Software  Often used for Collaborative Websites  Does not need to be downloaded  “The simplest online database that could possibly work.” (Ward Cunningham, 2010)

4. The Advantages of Wiki  Easy to Setup  Able to edit correspondence  Can add files, pictures, and other images  Can validate entries  Able to track correspondences between Operators

5. The Disadvantages of Wiki  Can be easily tampered with in some cases  Items can be republish  Editing tools are limited  Not all Wikis have editors to mark edits as not vandalism

6. How to Use a Wiki Site  Goto the Wiki of choice. http://www.wikispaces.com/

7.  Right Click on “Wikis for Individuals and Groups”

8.  Type in your username, password, and Email Address.

9.  Right Click on “Join Now”

10.  Reenter Username, Password, Email Address if needed. Right Click on the dot beside “Yes” and next to “Make a Wiki?”. Right click on the white block next to “Wiki Name”. Type the name you want. Right Click on the dot next to “Protected (free) for the best protection. Lastly, right click on the down arrow, next to the white box, and click on the Wiki type you want.

11.  Right Click on “Join”

12.  Now here is where You make your Wiki Yours. Just right click on all the blue phrases one at a time, and follow the directions.
