2 V 0.1Slide 2 Email – Send email Send E-Mail :  User can send out e-mails but cannot receive e-mails in WebSAMS.  All mails sent will not be encrypted.  Optionally, WebSAMS can be set up to use organizational e-Cert to digitally sign the outgoing mails.  If organizational e-Cert has been installed, e-mail address of the e- Cert will be shown as the sender’s e-mail address. Otherwise, the “School's E-Mail Address for Return of E-Mail by Recipients” in the System Configuration page will be used as the sender’s e-mail address.

20 V 0.1Slide 20 Email – Send email Send E-Mail :  After sending a mail, a new mail record will be created in the Mail History, regardless whether the mail is successfully sent out or not.  The status of 'Sent', 'Processing' or 'Sending Failed' will be shown accordingly.  If the size of the email exceeds the size limit of each email set in ‘System Configuration’, the email will not be sent.  If the size limit for storing each user’s sent mail as set in the System Configuration has been reached, mails cannot be sent out any more. These mails will not be stored in mail history.

21 V 0.1Slide 21 Email – Send email Send E-Mail (cont’d) :  If any of the four built-in groups Staff, Parent, Student & Alumni or Past Year Student has been selected as the recipient, the members of the selected groups will be listed in the Recipient Report. In this report, the members having email addresses would receive the email. Click ESC To Return
