3. Get Ready! This presentation will give a brief overview of the upcoming testing that will occur at Gaithersburg HS.

4. Testing 101 Students will participate in a variety of testing sessions beginning in March 2015 and lasting through the end of the year in June.  PARCC PBA  High School Assessments-April  PARCC EOY  Advanced Placement Exams  Senior Final Exams  High School Assessments-May  Final Exams

5. PARCC  From March 3-26 students in Algebra 1, Algebra 2/Honors and English 10/Honors courses will take the the PARCC PBA Test. PARCC stands for Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers.  The PARCC test is given in two parts: -the PBA and -the EOY

High School Assessments HSA O Testing windows April 13-17 and May 18-22, 2015 O English Monday April 13, 2015 O Biology Tuesday April 14, 2015 O Algebra Wednesday April 15, 2015 O Government Monday May 18, 2015 O English Tuesday May 19, 2015 O Biology Wednesday May 20, 2015 O Algebra Thursday May 19, 2015

7. Advanced Placement Exams AP O Cost is $91.00. Check or money order payable to GHS in the exact amount. O Registration is happening now with Ms. Curtis, Academy and AP Coordinator. Registration ends Wednesday March 25, 2015. O Students received registration forms in the AP classes. O Testing window is Monday May 4-Friday May 15, 2015. 8. Final Exams O Senior Final Exams window is May 18-22, 2015. O Final Exams will occur Monday June 8-Friday June 12, 2015. O A more detailed schedule will be forthcoming and will be posted on the GHS website.

10. Reminders O Make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep. O Students need to arrive to school on time or by 7:20 am at the latest. O We ask that you please not schedule any appointments, vacations, etc. during the school day within the testing windows. O Students need to complete both parts of the PARCC exam (PBA & EOY) to receive an overall score. O Continue to encourage your student to put forth his or her best effort!
