1. Preparing Visuals  Font size of 24 or greater  Sans-serif fonts recommended  This does not work as well  Avoid  1-inch “safe zone” around outer edge of each slide  Landscape, not portrait saturated colors

2. Preparing Visuals  6 lines per page is ideal  Avoid excessive sound effects or animations/transitions  Use contrast (dark letters on light background)  Be consistent

3. Presentation & Appearance  Virtual eye contact (look at camera from time to time)  Clothing-earth tones/pastels  Avoid “busy” patterns  Avoid shiny or noisy jewelry  Keep it simple

4. Presentation & Appearance  Watch your time  Speak clearly and loud enough for those in the back row  Avoid touching the microphone (except to cover it when you cough or sneeze!)  BRING BACKUPS!!!
